i have a 1999 yamaha blaster and i can't figure out why it keeps idoling high. it leaks oil out of the overflow tube until it idols high. when i put a bunch of oil in it then it rides nice and idols fine. it only started to do this when my dad flipped it a few months ago.
i cleaned the carb very well about a month after the problem started. i also tried to adjust the idol but it kept idoling really high. it idols so high im afraid it will blow the engine. i guess i have a few things to try that people have posted but im not sure it will fix it. :'(
i just went outside and checked it, it looks like the previous owner just took the whole oil pump out. i couldn't find anything that even resembled the pump. is there an easier way to check the seals then to take the engine apart?
